The Home Secure 1 Star Euro Cylinder Door Lock offers a medium security level solution for euro profile doors. In order to achieve the recommended full 3 star accreditation you would need to use this lock in conjunction with a PAS 24 2 star door handle.
The main reason a 1 star cylinder would be used in comparison to a 3 star cylinder is that they are generally a lot cheaper and still carry a British Standard Kitemark which is the minimum requirement for a lot of insurance companies meaning you can meet this requirement for a cheaper cost rather than purchasing a 3 star cylinder. However, you should be aware that a 1 star cylinder on its own does not meet the current recommended 3 star security standard.
